SAN MIGUEL IBIZA
To visit Sant Miguel de Balansat (San Miguel) on a late Thursday afternoon in the square In front of the church s with local people who perform Ibizan dances to the music of an authentic band. The church is a fine 14th century building, one of the oldest on the island, though the porch and patio are later. Inside, the 17th century wall paintings in the Chapel Benirras have undergone a careful program of restoration. They are one of the few examples of their type on the Island.
