ES FIGUERAL IBIZA

Es Figueral is divided into two: the roads reaching the beaches of Figueral and S'Aigua Blanca are separated by a few hundred meters of undrivable sand and cliffs A third road leads to the cliff top German Garten cafe.

S'Aigua Blanca lies to the north, its name reflecting the fact that the water is white as it laps the shore due to the strong and frequent winds that blow across the open bay. The beach itself has darker sand than the island norm and has become popular with nudists. Facilities are few, but there is a good bar.

To the south of Es Figueral, off the headland of Punta d'en Valls, is Ilia de Tagomago. There are frequent boat trips to this uninhabited island which has retained its wild character. The beaches are too small for serious sunbathing, but the swimming is superb and the scuba diving excellent.
