PLAZA DEL ADELANTADO LA LAGUNA TENERIFE

The heart of old La Laguna is a pleasant, shaded square where locals relax on benches enclosed by some of the most striking historic and dignified buildings in town, including the Ayuntamiento and the Santa Catalina church  as well as beautiful mansions adorned with fine porches and balconies. There are bars here too, and the town's busy Mercado Municipal (main market), with its lattice gallery, is the place to join locals in the morning stocking up with fruit and vegetables.
