PARQUES EXOTICOS TENERIFE

An astonishing sight in the midst of so much barren terrain, this lush tropical garden east of Los Cristianos is truly exotic. The main attraction is Amazonia, a slice of tropical rainforest created inside a climatically controlled domed area; it's hot and muggy inside. Parrots, hummingbirds and 5,000 butterflies fly freely around. Other attractions include a reptile house, a well stocked cactus garden and a zoo park. Many of the animals are chosen with children in mind and include friendly marmosets and squirrel monkeys. You can even go inside the cages.
