MUSEUM OF TENERIFE HISTORY


The Casa Lercaro on Calle San Agustin is a grandiose 16th century colonial mansion, and is the ideal setting for this impressive treasure house of island history. The house itself deserves a visit, and anyone really wanting to get a vivid overview of Tenerife's story since the arrival of the Spanish should certainly stop by for a couple of hours at this excellent museum. The collections include historical maps and maritime exhibits, and displays that take the story right up to the present.
