CALLE SAN AGUSTIN TENERIFE

In this delightful old-fashioned street parallel to Calle Obispo Rey Redondo, look out for the Instituto de Canarias Cabrera Pinto (Cabrera Pinto Institute of Canarian Studies), noted for its exquisite traditional patio and handsome bell tower. The fine 17th century facade next door, of the San Agustin monastery, is an empty shell the building was destroyed by fire in 1963.
