SATORRETA

 

One of the few Talaiotic sites in northern Menorca is also one of the hardest to reach; the best way is the walk from Es Grau . Overgrown and evocative, a complete taula 4m high is surrounded by standing stones on the edge of a farm. Tests show that this was built 1,000 years after the taulas at Son Catlar  and Trepuco so the Talaiotic culture was certainly not short-lived.
