CAP DE FAVARITX

Stand on Menorca's north-eastern tip when the tramuntana is blowing and you will appreciate the island's savage beauty. Waves crash against crumbling slate cliffs, throwing sea spray high Into the air, and the solitary lighthouse acts as a reassuring reminder of humanity. The road from Mao is wide at first but eventually deteriorates into a bumpy track which in the end is little more than a causeway across the beach. From the cliffs at the end of the road you look out into an endless Mediterranean Sea. There are several quiet beaches which can be easily reached on foot from here beginning with Cala Presili.
