CALA ESCORXADA COVE
You used to be able to reach this cove by the coastal footpath from Sant Adeodato but the path has become a casualty of the on-going battle between landowners and the authorities over rights of way. By Spanish law, everyone has access to the coast; the problem arises when you need to cross private land to get there The owner of the land behind Cala Escorxada has denied access to ramblers by erecting barriers.
The result is that the cove has become even more remote than it was and all the more attractive for those who do get there either in a boat or by a long (two hours minimum and difficult walk from Cala Santa Galdana. Cala Escorxada is typical of the south coast limestone cliffs, pine woods and a semicircular beach of soft white sand; it is also good for snorkeling.
