CALA EN BOSC BEACH

Just 9km south of Ciutadella and easily reached on a fast road Cala En Bose has become one of Menorca's most fashionable resorts. Life revolves around the marina, built on the site of a drained wetland, and lined with trendy restaurants and bars. Small boats can enter the marina through a narrow channel; this is also a departure point for cruises to the remoter coves along the south coast.

The neighbouring resort of Son Xoriguer, with its large twin beaches, is a centre for waters ports, with schools offering windsurfing, waterskiing, scuba diving and sailing. Both resorts are heavily developed and not for those seeking peace and quiet. Above: chic and cheerful Cala En Bosc.
