CALA BLANCA 

This pretty pine-fringed cove, Just 4km south of Ciutadella, has been blighted in recent years by excessive development. Once there was just a small beach nestling between low limestone cliffs; now it has been engulfed to such an extent that the beach is a mere speck on the map of the 'village'. The beach is overlooked by several restaurants, all competing to attract families with facilities ranging from swimming pools and water slides to games rooms and 'adult entertainment' At the back of the beach are the remains of a Bronze Age naveta.
