BINISUES Santa Agueda
This stately home on the road to Santa Agueda, just west of Ferrelles, has been turned into an exhibition of traditional Menorcan life, customs and furniture.
The home of the Salort y Martorell family, It retains its original furnishing and paintings, as well as farm buildings filled with old-fashioned tools The top floor has interesting exhibitions of mounted butterflies, insects and birds, many of them endemic to Menorca. The name of the house, like so many in Menorca, reveals the island's Moorish past bini is Arabic for 'sons of'. The restaurant here specializes in traditional Menorcan country cooking and seafood dishes.
