THE PEREZ GALDOS THEATRE LAS PALMAS
Set on the edge of the busy carriageway that divides Triana from Vegueta, this theatre was designed by the architect Miguel Martin Fernandez de la Torre and the murals (of Apollo and the Muses) painted by his brother Nestor in a style that shocked respectable theater-goers when they were first revealed. It is a haunt of the haute bourgoisie of Las Palmas.
