THE MODERN ART MUSEUM LAS PALMAS
This sparkling white gallery, housed in a grand mansion in one of the most picturesque streets of the city, opened in 1989 and shows the work of contemporary, mostly Spanish, some Canarian, artists. This is a surprisingly effective modern environment in an antique setting. Exhibitions are varied; the director is the noted sculptor, Martin Chirino.
