Set on the dusty slopes of an extinct volcano, this park breeds and displays reptiles and amphibians. Snakes from all over the world, many of them deadly, are housed in glass cases, all identified by scientific and common name (in English and in German) and place of origin. In addition to the three indoor exhibition rooms, there are large outdoor terrariums of crocodiles, alligators, turtles, tortoises, lizards and frogs. These have been designed with waist-high walls and a roof net to allow the animals maximum protection in a natural-looking habitat which is also easily accessible to spectators. The owner is British zoologist Jim Pether. Don't miss the star attraction, the world's largest lizard, the Komodo dragon.
