Torremolinos
Largely known as a bucket and spade resort in the 1960s, Torremolinos has evolved into a slick, happening seaside resort, close to Malaga Airport. With a wide choice of beaches, gay night life and family attractions, Torremolinos caters to all, and is one of the livelier resorts on the Costa del Sol. The sandy beaches are among the best in southern Spain, and Torremolinos was the first resort in Spain to offer family package tours in the 1960´s. Since then, the town has made major improvements to its infrastructure, beaches and facilities, and it now enjoys a reputation as being one of the most modern resort towns on the Costa del Sol.
If you are looking for Gay bars, hotels and clubs in Torremolinos, you can find them around La Nogalera area, just off the C/San Miguel. Most clubs stay open until at least 6am, and don´t get lively until after midnight. Torremolinos is also a perfect resort for kids, and there is a massive Aquapark on the outskirts of town, a Crocodile Park and plenty of amusements and children´s entertainments near the main resort hotels. The choice of Torremolinos accommodation is wide and varied, and visitors can book cheap hotels, luxury hotels, villa rentals or bed and breakfast accommodation, which can be as cheap or as expensive as they want to make it. Torremolinos is just 10 minute´s drive from Malaga Airport.
