SAN ROQUE AND SOTOGRANDE

This is the place for big time golfers and is said to feature Spain's highest proportion of registered golfers in any one centre. Among the four golf courses, the Valderrama Robert Trent Jones Course played host to the 1997 Ryder Cup. Polo is also played here during the summer and the Sotogrande Marina is another attraction.

The little town is an attractive centre in itself with narrow streets and plenty of flowers and plants. The lively cafes and restaurants of the Campamento area appeal to a younger crowd.
