This former residence of the Christian kings the Moors, is a marvel. Its centerpiece, the Palacio Mudejar del Rey Don Pedro, built by Pedro I in the 14th century, is a superb example of Mudelar art. Salons, archways and columns are richly decorated with exquisite carvings, ceramics and wooden ceilings. Outstanding is the magnificent dome ceiling of the Hall of Ambassadors.
