Malaga
Malaga has evolved over the past few years into one of the most important tourist cities in the Costa del Sol. With major improvements, the city is now home to some of the best shops, bars, restaurants and cafés on the coast, and offers visitors a wide range of things to see and do. The Alcazaba, an old Moorish fortress, is well worth a visit, plus the amazing cathedral in the centre of town. The main Calle Larios is lined with designer shops, chic pavement cafés and top notch restaurants to suit all tastes. Whether you want to experience the culture and history of Malaga, or simply want a good night out, you can find it here. Irish pubs sit alongside Spanish flamenco bars, and deluxe hotels alongside bed and breakfast accommodation. If you are visiting the Costa del Sol during summer, take to the streets of Malaga for the annual Feria, which lasts for 10 days and sees lively processions, parades, dancing and singing through the streets in a riot of noise and colour. If you prefer to spend your time relaxing in Malaga, take advantage of a choice of sandy beaches either side of the port, which are lined with seafront bars and restaurants, specialising in fresh fish.
