Malaga has evolved over the past few years into one of the most important tourist cities in the Costa del Sol. With major improvements, the city is now home to some of the best shops, bars, restaurants and cafés on the coast, and offers visitors a wide range of things to see and do. The Alcazaba, an old Moorish fortress, is well worth a visit, plus the amazing cathedral in the centre of town. If you prefer to spend your time relaxing in Malaga, take advantage of a choice of sandy beaches either side of the port, which are lined with seafront bars and restaurants, specialising in fresh fish.
