CAPILLA REAL GRANADA
The Royal Chapel, sanctioned by the Catholic Monarchs for their burial, was begun in 1506 and completed under the reign of Hapsburg Emperor Charles V in 1521. It has a richly adorned interior. In the chancel, closed by a screen, are the mausoleums of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, along with their daughter Juana la Loca and her husband Philip the Fair. A museum reached through the north arm of the transept displays items of historical interest and a fine collection of paintings and sculpture.
