THE CITY MUSEUM GIRONA

The city museum, in the former Capuchin monastery of Sant Antoni, details the history of Girona from prehistoric times to today. Among the more unusual exhibits, the ground floor display on industrial history features an old petrol pump, wireless sets and an early computer. Upstairs, there is a room devoted to the development of the sardana dance. The cemetery of the original convent is preserved just inside the entrance, with niches on the walls designed for mummified corpses.
