PLAZA MAJOR VIC

Vic's main square is one of the most perfect in Catalonia, where buildings of different styles and ages come together, linked by the uneven arches around their base, to create a satisfying whole. This has always been, above all else, a market place; but to experience its symmetry and beauty, come back when it is empty. Within the square are the Gothic town hall, begun in 1388, and buildings from the Renaissance, baroque and Modernist periods.
