Cap Roig Botanical Garden

Cap Roig is made up of beautifully landscaped gardens and a castle. It is situated in Palafrugell de Calella and was founded by Colonel Woevodsky and Dorothy Webster in 1927. They bought the land and began to build a castle and a magnificent park. This work continued until 1974 when the area was finally completed.

The garden runs down in terraces from the castle to the seashore making for a pleasant walk during your stay in the Costa Brava. The first few terraces are known as Nuns' Terrace, Basin Terrace and Lovers' Garden, and are connect by the Cypress Stairway which has a prominent architectural emphasis.
