Blanes Nightlife Costa Brava

Nightlife in Blanes, on the Costa Brava, is much more docile and relaxing than that of some of its neighbouring towns, attracting families with young children and couples, as opposed to large groups of young people. The resort is a place where locals come to have a relaxing evening, thus it is somewhere to sample the typical Catalonian way of life; late night eating, traditional fiestas and authentic Spanish music and dancing. This allows tourists to view the Spanish culture and nightlife rather than experience British culture in a Spanish town. Many bars are either Dutch or French, thus adding to the multicultural feel to the nightlife. During the summer, tourists will find many traditional night time activities such as Sardana dancing (the circular public street dances performed throughout Catalonia). During 24-28^th July, Fiesta Major Summer Fair takes place where the streets become alive with music, dance, a fireworks contest and entertainment.
