CABO DE LA NAO COSTA BLANCA

The headland of Cabo de la Nao, the most easterly point on the Costa Blanca, soars above the sea to the south of Javea (Xabia). This stretch of coast makes a wonderful contrast to the flat sandy beaches to the north Creamy white and ochre tinted cliffs rise steeply from the sea below, the slopes clad in pines and sweet-smelling scrub vegetation. Unsurprisingly, the tourist boom attracted developers, and much of the surrounding area is dotted with secluded holiday villas. From the cape and its lighthouse there are superb views along the cliffs to the south and a road leads on to the lovely cove at Granadella.
