One of Spain's most popular cultural traditions is the Three Kings Procession which takes place every year on the evening of the 5th January, when traditionally the kings bring Christmas gifts for the children.
This magical procession varies between towns and cities, but usually takes place early evening between 5 and 7pm as hundreds of children line the streets. Celebrations usually take the form of traditional pageants or the increasingly popular procession of floats from which sweets are thrown to the crowds.
Colourful floats carry the kings through the streets, along with their helpers including fairies, elves and even Santa Claus, who make sure the children have a great time. Many theatrical activities follow the procession, making this a fabulous winter wonderland for children and adults alike, followed by a bank holiday on the 6th January.
