Playa de la Arena

Playa de la Arena Beach is located in the small town of Messa del Mar, and is a great beach in the northern district of Tacoronte. Black cliffs dominate this part of the Tenerife coast falling down into the sea, providing picturesque views for visitors. The beach is quiet compared to busy tourist beaches in Tenerife, offering fine dark sand with pebbles. Playa de la Arena beach has been awarded a blue flag of excellence for it excellent facilities and cleanliness. Water-crafts can be hired on the beach, and the waters are also used for diving and fishing excursions. Water sports are available in peak-season and the seafront promenade hosts a range of bars and restaurants. The Playa de la Arena beach is a great day out for the whole family whilst on holiday in north Tenerife.
