Playa del Medano

Playa del Medano beach is located on the edge of the small town of El Medano, situated in the South of Tenerife. Playa del Medano is a well-known beach in Tenerife, as it has hosted the wind-surfing world championships, as well as other wind surfing annual competitions. The beach has a gentle breeze and the sand is a dark golden colour and is a popular beach to visit for those who want to learn the craft of wind-surfing. El Medano Beach is the longest in Tenerife, stretching for 2 miles that ends at the picturesque volcanic hill of Montaņa Rojo.
