Palma de Mallorca Cathedral
The Palma Cathedral is Palma's most prominent landmark, located above the old harbour. It was contracted from the 14th - 19th Century, and in the 20th century the world-famous architect, Gaudi, added his touch to the interior of the Cathedral. The Cathedral houses two very famous tombs, Bishop Antonio Gallina (who died in 1375), and Clement VIII (located in the Cappella de la Piedad), which locals often visit to pay their respects. The Cathedral features a museum as you enter, providing tourists with a detailed history of the impressive sand-stone building. The Palma Cathedral offers an educational and beautiful place of interest to visit whilst on holiday in Mallorca.
