Cuevas del Drach
The Drach Caves are often considered one of the most popular tourist attractions whilst on holiday in Mallorca. Located in Porto Cristo, the picturesque Drach Caves feature three chambers inside the caves; Cueva Negra (Black Cave), Cueva Blanca (White Cave) and Cueva Luis Salvator (Luis Salvator Cave) for visitors to explore. The latter cave is named in honor of Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, who invited Édouard-Alfred Martel to explore the caves in 1896. Whilst at the caves, you can take a boat ride on the Lake Martel, one of the largest subterranean lakes in the world. Whilst on the boat trip, visitors can view the limestone formations and stalactites hanging down from the roof of the caves. The impressive Drach Caves provide a unique day out for the whole family.
