Portal Nou Gate
The Portal Nou gate is one of the five entrances to the fortified area of the city of Ibiza. This area is know as Dalt Villa and is an important wall enclosure where you will be able to visit impressive monuments such as the Santo Domingo church, among others.
The gate connects the Reina Sofia park to the Plaza del Sol through a small tunnel measuring 50 metres long and 30 metres high. Portal Nou gate was built during the 16th century and still preserves its impressive original wooden doors.
