Pueblo Canario
Pueblo Canario is located in Las Palmas, and is a great place of interest to visit whilst on holiday in Gran Canaria. Situated within Parque Doramas, the complex features a range of traditionally built Canarian houses with wooden carved balconies forming a small Canary Island village, complete with gates, an atrium and turrets. Brothers Néstor and Miguel Fernandez de la Torre designed Pueblo Canario in the 1930's, in order to interest tourists in the Canary Islands Culture. Pueblo Canario hosts a large square in which enthusiastic folklore shows take place twice a week. There is also a wine bar and restaurant, and a museum, ‘Museo Nestor', dedicated to the works of Néstor de la Torre. Pueblo Canario provides a unique place of interest in Gran Canaria, which should definitely be visited on your holiday.
