Museo Canario
The Museo Canario is located in Las Palmas, providing an excellent place of interest in Gran Canaria to visit. Museo Canario is home to the Canary Islands' largest collection of pre-Hispanic objects from 500 BC until the 15th Century, that are displayed in 11 large rooms within the Museum. Within the rooms, visitors will find the largest collection of Cro-Magnon skulls, Gaunche implements and a large collection of pottery. Within the Museo Canario, visitors can also view jewellery, tools, statues of gods and much more. Here there is also an extensive library, mainly used by researchers and students, but visitors are more than welcome to take a stroll around. The Museo Canario is an interesting place of interest to visit whilst on holiday in Gran Canaria, providing history and education.
