Mundo Aborigen
Mundo Aborigen is a great place of interest to visit whilst on holiday in Gran Canaria. It is located in a very beautiful setting, overlooking the Barranco de Fataga; the biggest gorge in Gran Canaria. The Mundo Aborigen is a reconstruction of a Canary village, portraying the Guanche way of life, thus providing an educational insight into pre-Hispanic lifestyles. Visitors will witness more than 100 life-sized figures, set up in real-life scenes, along with domestic animal noises in the background making the most life-like experience possible for visitors. Whilst walking around Mundo Aborigen, visitors will encounter a doctor practicing surgery, a butcher gutting a goat, a convict being executed and much more. A small archaeological museum has recently opened to emphasize the most important aspects of Gaunche life. Mundo Aborigen is a place of interest in Gran Canaria that must be encountered whilst on holiday here.
