Playa del Puerto Rico

Playa del Puerto Rico is a particularly popular beach in Gran Canaria during the summer months, being very popular with families. However, it provides a picturesque beach to soak up the Canary Island sun. The fine golden sand has been imported from the Sahara desert, and slopes gently down into the clear blue sea. Puerto Rico beach is popular for its water-sports such as wind-surfing and diving. Space is precious on Puerto Rico beach, with sun-beds being lined up on the jetty. There are picturesque gardens situated at the back of the beach with exotic plants and two swimming pools for visitors to make use of. There is a selection of restaurants and bars nearby, and lifeguards are on duty to ensure visitors' safety. Playa del Puerto Rico is a great beach in Gran Canaria to visit.
