Sierra Nevada Ski
Part of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park; the ski resort of Solynieve (aka Pradollano) takes full advantage of the long snow season and the wonderful sunshine, which can be intense at the higher altitudes.
Just 30 minutes from Granada, you can play golf in the morning sun and, a short time after, be skiing or snowboarding. In recent years the season has been extended by the use of artificial snow machines. 16 of them generate snow around the clock, creating ideal conditions.
In total there are 79 pistes in different parts of the resort: of these four are black (very difficult), 34 are red (difficult), 33 are blue (easy) and eight are green (very easy). All equipment can be hired on site and tuition is available for all levels.
Pradollano's village area has new alpine-style buildings and a four-storey underground parking complex with a capacity of 2,880 vehicles. The village has good quality hotels to suit all pockets and excellent non-ski leisure facilities, including gyms and swimming pools. There is a new medical centre, a child day-care centre, plenty of shops, banks and an extremely active après ski scene!

Opening Hours: All year round, but November to May for Skiing, depending on conditions.
Entrance: Lift Passes from €20 to €50 depending on duration and time of year.
Getting there: Most roads are new and allow quick, safe access from the main cities with international airports: Madrid (4 hours to Granada), Valencia (6 hours) and Barcelona (8 hours).
