Museum of Fine Arts
If you love art in beautiful surroundings, this museum is a must. Situated in the Palace of Carlos V at the Alhambra, the museum was started in 1836, moving to the current site in 1958. The Museum is home to some of the finest examples of art and sculpture from the 16th century onwards.
The painting school of Granada - started by Pedro Machuca and developed by Alonso Cano and Pedro de Moya - is particularly well represented. The Florentino sculpture of the Burial of Christ (El Entierro de Christo) is exhibited alongside art collected from the convents and churches of Granada.
