La Carihuela
La Carihuela is a lovely old fishing village located on the western side of Torremolinos, on the Costa del Sol. La Carihuela beach stretches from the village right down to Benalmadena Marina, and is undoubtedly one of the best beaches in the area.
La Carihuela stretches for just over 2km, and has various facilities and services on offer including a range of water sports and beach activities, sun bed hire and much more. The beach is very clean and there is also a wide choice of small local shops to browse whilst taking a stroll along the promenade.
La Carihuela is famous for its fantastic fish and seafood restaurants, which can be found alongside the beach. One of the specialities is the little fried fish known as ‘pescaito'.
GETTING THERE: La Carihuela can be found on the western side of Torremolinos.
