The historical city of Girona is located 90kms, or one hours drive, from Barcelona, on the Costa Brava. It is a popular tourist destination, appealing to couples, families and people of all ages.

The city is rich in interesting and attractive architecture, making it an enjoyable city to explore on foot. The city is well known for its historical attractions, most notably the stunning gothic Cathedral that presides over the city. The Roman ruins, Arab baths and winding streets of the Jewish quarter are also well worth a visit as places of particular interest within the city.

There are a number of excellent bars and restaurants in the city, where you can enjoy the wonderful local Catalonian gastronomy.
