La Boqueria
La Boqueria is probably the most visited food market by tourists on holiday in Barcelona. This is due to its excellent location nearby all the hustle and bustle of Barcelona half way down the famous Las Ramblas.
The market is also one of the oldest ones in Barcelona. Established in the year 1200, La Boqueria has served the people of Barcelona for a long time and is therefore highly regarded by locals here. Within the market you will find a whole range of fresh food, including Spanish cured meats, vegetables, fruits, wines, fish and dairy products.
So, if you fancy taking back home some delicious Serrano Ham, this is without doubt the best place to come during your stay in Barcelona.
