Tibidabo Amusement Park

tibidabo amusement park barcelonaMount Tibidabo is Barcelona's highest hill and provides a backdrop to the city with incredible views of Barcelona, the mountains and the Mediterranean sea.  If thrills and heights are your idea of holiday entertainment, the famous amusement park located on the top of the hill is the place for you. Fun for kids and adults alike, the giant amusement park has been operating for just over a hundred years and features rides from the quaint and old fashioned to the ultimate in 21st century heart stoppers.

Other places of interest on the hill include the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, two churches built by Enric Sagnier between 1902 and 1911. A short bus ride from the Park is the Torre de Collserola, a communications tower designed for the 1992 Olympic Games. It has a glass sided lift which takes you right up to the observatory on the needle shaped tower and provides the most spectacular 360 degree vistas of the city and countryside. Tibidabo is easily accessible by public transportation or by private vehicle. You can pick up a map at any information point in the city.
